Japanese Calligraphy

Beautifully hand-painted & inappropriate.

Reveal the true meaning. Don’t reveal. Each path has beauty. The decision is yours.

Beautifully hand painted in the shodō tradition, Kanji Panda art graces any room.

For yourself, a loved one or as an olive branch to an arch-enemy.

Lie about the true meaning or fess up. Your choice 🙂

Every piece in the Originals Series is hand painted to order and comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity. They are all unique as gifts or display pieces in your home. It’s up to you to tell the viewer the translation.

“Cherry blossoms on spring breeze” or “My Butt Cheeks Are Perfect“. Either way, enjoy the moment.

Meet The Artist

All Kanji Panda Calligraphy is created by the artist Miwa Omokawa. Forged in the mountains of East Japan and hardened by the mean streets of Tokyo, her work explores the sense of chaos around emerging realities, leaving the viewer suspended in the spaces left between cultural overlap.

Mostly that’s all made up. You’ve gotta get in the groove here folks. This is Miwa, she is from Tokyo where the streets are not particularly mean and that’s not a real gun. All her calligraphy is tip top though.

This is genuine, hand painted Japanese calligraphy. It’s entirely up to you to explain the true meaning to the viewer. Or not.

Each one is stamped with our unique Kanji Panda and “Coins To A Cat” hanko and produced to order on smooth, 300g acid free paper ready for you to frame in a style that suits your decor.
